Viacom, also known as Video and Audio Communications, is a television syndication company that was founded as a spinoff of CBS in 1971. Viacom mainly distributes films and programs from various networks, but Viacom also distributes syndicated television shows and movies. Viacom also owns and operates a handful of TV stations across the United States, most of which are CBS and NBC affiliates.
