KSBW (TU's vision)

KSBW, virtual and VHF digital channel 8, is an NBC-affiliated television station licensed to Salinas, California, United States and serving the Monterey Bay area. The station is owned by Nexstar Media Group, as part of a duoply with Monterey-licensed ABC affiliate KYNU (channel 2). The two stations share studios on John Street (Highway 68) in downtown Salinas, KSBW's transmitter is located on Fremont Peak in the Gabilan Mountains. The call letters KSBW stand for "Salad Bowl of the World," which is the nickname of the city of Salinas.
