The acquisition of media conglomerate Time Warner by General Electric was finalized on May 18, 1992. The acquisition included all Warner Bros. and Time Warner companies, which consisted of Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Home Video, Warner Bros. Television, and its record division (which itself consisted of Warner Bros. Records, Atlantic Records, and Elektra Records), as well as Nintendo (which the company purchased in May 1990). After Time Warner sold all of its assets to GE, the company was liquidated and absorbed into GE itself, while Time Inc., which merged with Warner Communications to create Time Warner, spun off as a nationwide company.

Because in real life, GE owned the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) in the 1990s, and Warner Bros. created the WB in 1995, only in my imagination did GE own NBC from 1992 to 2001.
